JCL Development to Host Tour of Sharon Properties
SHARON, Pa. – JCL Development, owned by Jim Landino and his wife, Jen Krezeczowski, will offer a walking tour of properties the company is redeveloping in the city from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday.
“I don’t think most people really understand why we do what we do and the extent we are willing to go to revitalize this area,” Krezeczowski said.
She added that recruitment of new businesses is part of JCL’s mission, as well as supporting the current business community in the city.
“Our hope is that this tour will give visitors a fresh perspective about Sharon – to see past what was and look to the future,” she said. “We also encourage them to support the businesses here and to get involved.”
The guided tour will kick off at Allie’s Sweet Tooth, 47 E. State St., where there will be a visual presentation of JCL’s other projects and its vision for the city’s revitalization. The tour will include 98 East Co-Working Space, 98 E. State St.; Café Lulu & Lulu’s Social Kitchen + Bar, 23 Chestnut Ave.; and The Flats sports and recreation center, 297 Shenango Ave.
The tour will also incorporate some of the city’s history, provided by the Sharon Historical Society.
“This is an opportunity to show those in the community that still have a negative view of Sharon that we are in a different era and can rewrite the page on the whole Valley by coming together with a positive attitude,” said Landino, who, along with his wife, have been part of the city’s revitalization movement since 2015. “We have the energy and don’t plan on slowing down anytime soon,” he said.
Before and after the tour, guests are encouraged to visit Gifted at Applegate/Golden Tiger Tea and Coffee Cafe, 36 N. Sharpsville Ave., where snacks, beverages and food will be available from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
“This is a great opportunity for people to come to downtown Sharon and get a firsthand look at some of the active development impacting downtown revitalization in real time,” said Angie Urban, executive director of the Sharon Community Development Corp. “The city values Team JCL for kicking this off, and we’ll be working with them and other building owners in the city to do more events like this in the future.”
