For years, Community Action Partnership of Mercer County operated neighborhood programs from facilities in Sharon, part of a countywide anti-poverty network founded in the 1960s. Their presence and projects are woven into the city’s recent history, including public-facing initiatives and even arts activations that used prominent building walls as canvases.
