Tour will highlight renovation of Sharon properties
SHARON, Pa. (WKBN) – Jim Landino has spent the past several years buying and renovating buildings in Sharon. On Sunday, people can go inside and see them — plus hear about plans for them.
The tour involves six properties in downtown Sharon that were bought and redeveloped by Jim Landino and his company, JCL Development.
“This was originally in 1945 the bus garage. So, when the electric trollies left downtown, the bus service came in, and this was the beginning of the Shenango Valley Transit Company. So, arguably one of the best buildings we’ve ever played with. It’s got the steel, the bricks, the high ceilings,” Landino said.
It will soon be an athletic training facility, adding to the amenities of downtown Sharon.
Landino has acquired over 100 buildings.
The tour will show the whole process in action between the different properties and how they have been renovated and repurposed.
“Just really create a buzz about what we are doing down here and get people excited,” said Jen Krezeczowski, developer.
The tour will include six buildings, including an apartment complex, a training center, and a co-working space, among others.
The tour starts at noon on Sunday at Allie’s Sweet Shop in Sharon.
